Supergreens Smoothie

When considering what type of healthy beverage recipe to share with you, my mind immediately went to ginger shots. No time wasted, they are literally down the hatch in 2 seconds and they burn in a nice “what doesn’t kill me makes me stronger” kinda way — what’s not to love? Well, if I’m honest, I’m not sure it is for everyone. Then I thought, “What would be something I’d actually be excited to suggest if I was catching up with you over a cuppa?” The answer: Supergreens smoothie. Call me a health freak, I don’t care. That’s how I roll everyday. Are you still with me? If so, let’s get our anti-inflammatory on and support our detoxification and gut health.
Makes 1 large glass
250ml coconut water
Handful of frozen berries
1 apple, cored and chopped
2 handful of baby spinach
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1 teaspoon of cinnamon (optional)
1 teaspoon probiotic powder
1 teaspoon glutamine powder
1 teaspoon supergreen powder
Simply place all the ingredients in a blender together, until you obtain a delicious mix. Depending on how liquid you like your smoothie, you may want to add a little more water. Best consumed immediately!
